In keeping with our desire to be on the leading edge of entertainment in our community, the Pineapple Playhouse is proud to announce our new

PRE-SHOW “ SHOWCASE “ ENTERTAINMENT

We are nowfeaturing SHOWCASE entertainment 30 minutes before our normal main stage show begins.  You won't want to miss these talented singers, dancers, jugglers, comedians, etc.  Check with the box office the night of the show to see if there's some pre-show entertainment scheduled so you can arrive earlier to enjoy. 

The objectives are -
 

    - To enhance the entertainment experience for our patrons

    - To provide a venue for our local talent to showcase themselves. They are allowed to distribute or sell CD’s, business cards, collaterals, etc. But none of those items will be allowed in the auditorium.  Talent, or it’s designee, may set up a table in the atrium away from theatre door and refreshment bar to distribute materials prior to the show, during intermission and / or after the main stage show.

Rules:

1. Showcase will run from 7:30 p.m. to 7:55 pm for main stage productions that begin at 8 pm and from 1:30 pm to 1:55 pm for main stage productions that begin at 2 pm. 
   
2. No foul or suggestive language, rude or lewd gestures or revealing clothing will be allowed at any time.
   
3. All talent MUST be pre-approved by the SHOWCASE committee prior to appearing at the Pineapple. All talent must audition before the SHOWCASE committee. 
   
4. Talent agrees to provide their own music/backing CD’s, props, costumes, etc. unless previously approved by the SHOWCASE COMMITTEE. The tech room will play a CD or cassette tape and provide basic lighting only.
   
5. The talent and one guest are invited to remain and attend the main stage show at no charge if there are seats available on the day that they perform. The box office will have final say in this matter.
   
6. The box office will keep a list of approved SHOWCASE talent.  If the talent is not on that list, they will NOT be allowed to perform.
